Earlier in my career, I spent a number of years doing sound design and audio implementation for games. In this capacity, I worked on several critically acclaimed titles, created hundreds of sound effects, performed mixing/mastering, recorded/edited thousands of lines of dialog, and added sounds directly to levels using game editors and scripting systems. This experience provided me with a deep understanding of the production process for games and software, while also giving me insight into the perspective of individual team members on these projects. Below are just a few examples of my sound design work.
Deux Ex 2 Intro
I contributed hundreds of sound effects to the video game Deus Ex 2: Invisible War. This intro video is a good example of my work on that game. I created all the sound effects and performed the final mixing and mastering for this clip. My primary tools for sound design include ProTools, Nuendo, Cubase, Sound Forge, Vegas, Reaktor, Absynth, Waves plug-ins, Foley recording, and SFX libraries.
Thief 3 Cinematic
The Thief series is famous for its moody soundscapes, and I was lucky enough to contribute sound to Thief 3: Deadly Shadows. For this video, I created all the sound effects and performed the final mixing and mastering.
Midway provided me with this rough video, showing a battle scene from two different perspectives. For demo purposes, I added sound to it. I created all the sound effects and completed the final mix.
